Our story
Hawley & Co
Founded in 1974 by visionary brothers Alan Chan and Richard Chan,
Hawley & Co began with a simple yet bold mission to introduce
Lesaffre France’s yeast and improvers to the baking industry in Singapore and Malaysia.
What started as a pioneering partnership soon transformed the regional bakery landscape,
shaping how countless bakers craft their breads and pastries.
Incorporated in 1980, Hawley & Co has grown from a family-driven venture
into a trusted leader with deep roots in the baking community.
Today, our presence spans across Singapore, Johor, Penang, and Selangor,
with distribution centres in Sarawak and Sabah, ensuring every bakery,
wherever they are, receives the ingredients and support they need.
Through our close collaboration with the Lesaffre Baking Center in Malaysia,
we continue to share knowledge, provide technical expertise, and inspire bakers to pursue excellence.
